Darlington Business Summit (formerly Darlington Business Week) is back, refreshed and revitalised to ensure local businesses and residents get the information and support to help them succeed.
This year’s events will consist of a series of focussed activities over three days, dedicated to local businesses and jobseekers needs.
Wednesday 5th October
The Business Summit begins on Wednesday 5th October with the DL Expo, organised by Darlington Business Club, and will celebrate and showcase a wide range of products and services from local businesses
Thursday 6th October
The return of the ever-popular Jobs Fair with over 45 employers, all with active job vacancies from a range of sectors, including;
- construction
- engineering
- commercial
- public services
with companies attending such as;
- Cummins
- The Civil Service
- HC-One
- Redde Northgate
- Teesside Airport
- Aldi
Friday 7th October
The day begins with an event showcasing all of the business support available to businesses in Darlington and the local area, under one roof, along with a series of topical workshops.
The Business and IP Centre Tees Valley will provide information on how to apply for funding, and what you need to prepare.
This will be followed by a workshop focused on top tips for marketing your business and increasing your sales, as well as a talk on how you can attract new staff and access training support.
The week closes with the highly popular Darlington Economy Update event, with Ian Williams, Darlington Borough Council’s Chief Executive leading the presentation, and joined by guests from the Government’s Darlington Economic Campus.
This event will give an overview of what is happening in Darlington and highlight the new developments and opportunities ahead.
