Darlington Employability Providers Network
We can link you into the ‘Darlington Employability Providers Network’, which is there to help employers recruit the right staff. The Network can work with you to design specific training to meet the needs of your business. It can provide pre-employment training, a work experience placement and a guaranteed job interview.
Your business could benefit in the following ways:
One-stop approach to employability support;
Potential employees will be selected through a partner organisation e.g. Job Centre Plus or another employability organisation;
We will work with you to understand what skills you need your recruits to have – to ensure that pre-employment training is fit for purpose;
The fully funded pre-employment training means you can recruit staff with the right training and skills from the outset;
Provision of interview facilities if required;
Help to sift or pre-screen candidates if needed;
You have an opportunity to provide a work experience placement for potential employees to ensure they are suited to the role and your company;
- There is no direct cost to an employer as the costs are covered by government funding or other funding streams;
- We can work with you to generate positive publicity, demonstrating how your business is supporting the recruitment and training of local people.
Apprenticeships are a proven way to improve your workforce and can make your organisation more effective and competitive. You can train and develop your member of staff, reduce skills shortages within your workforce and develop the specialist skills you need to keep pace with the latest technology and working practices in your sector. Apprentices tend to be loyal, motivated and flexible within the company that invested in their future.
