We can link you into the ‘Darlington Employability Providers Network’, which is there to help employers recruit the right staff.  The Network can work with you to design specific training to meet the needs of your business.  It can provide pre-employment training, a work experience placement and a guaranteed job interview.

Your business could benefit in the following ways:

  • One-stop approach to employability support;
  • Potential employees will be selected through a partner organisation e.g. Job Centre Plus or another employability organisation;
  • We will work with you to understand what skills you need your recruits to have – to ensure that pre-employment training is fit for purpose;
  • The fully funded pre-employment training means you can recruit staff with the right training and skills from the outset;
  • Provision of interview facilities if required;
  • Help to sift or pre-screen candidates if needed;
  • You have an opportunity to provide a work experience placement for potential employees to ensure they are suited to the role and your company;
  • There is no direct cost to an employer as the costs are covered by government funding or other funding streams;

The Nordic Focus Training Group support recruitment and apprenticeships within industry to encourage training which helps build a safe, professional and fully qualified workforce.  Through individual support and funding, they are able to provide businesses the opportunity to improve skills, increase business competitiveness and respond to challenges, such as the unskilled workforce, reducing costs on site and recruiting the best talent for the sector.  

NFTG is a bespoke training academy offering a wide range of trade, administrative, logistics and management training services to the construction sector.  Situated in the heart of Darlington, the NFTG centre is uniquely placed to support industry within the area, as well as offering high quality training to the construction industry.  NFTG are the main provider for Persimmon Homes apprenticeship programmes and offer their services on a national basis with Academy's in the capital.
