- A brand new, £8m state of the art office and lab-space facility at Central Park close to the new CPI RNA Centre of Excellence, CPI’s £38m National Biologics Manufacturing Centre and Teesside University's £22.3m centre of excellence for the biosciences and healthcare sector – The National Horizons Centre, all leading the way in biosciences and healthcare
- Investment of £105m in a comprehensive improvement programme for Darlington’s Railway Station and the adjacent land, providing faster, more frequent services and an improved visitor experience
